To the general public,
To correct the situation with the article published by the Sandusky Register on their Facebook page, a critical piece of my article was left out. Point and Pay is a third-party vendor that processes all of the Credit/Debit or Electronic check payments. The Sandusky County Treasurer, in no means receives any of the fees incurred by using the Point and Pay System. The fees are charged by Point and Pay and go directly to them, the vendor. The Treasurer’s Office only receives the amount of the tax you are paying. I hope this helps to clear up any confusion. If I had the authority in any way to waive these fees in these uncertain times, I surely would do so.
Also, for clarification the address that was listed 622 Croghan St. is the Drop Box location only and the mailing address was located at the bottom of the page along with the office phone number, as the same in this letter.
If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact my office directly.
As your County Treasurer, I am doing my utmost to help protect and serve the public to the best of my abilities in these very trying times, with the COVID-19 outbreak.
Thank you, and please stay well.
